Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement

matura.mk wants to be usable by everyone, including people with impaired sight, hearing or speech.

Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 level AA, which underpin the European standard EN 301 549 and Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Compliance status

matura.mk is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, because of the content listed below.

What you can do

  • Use the Accessibility button at the top of every page to enlarge text up to 200%, switch on high contrast, more spacing, an easier-to-read font, highlighted links and a larger pointer, and to stop animations.
  • Listen to the page: Read this page or Read selected text (for people with low vision).
  • Use the whole site with a keyboard only (Tab, Enter, Space) and with a screen reader. There is a “Skip to main content” link.
  • The HTML tests (for example Matura 2026, Integers) have no time limit and need no sound.
  • The site never needs speech, a microphone or sound. YouTube videos have subtitles (CC button).

Content that is not fully accessible

  • Older tests (Matura 2013, 2014, Kangaroo and others) are now in HTML, but in many questions the problem is only an image, without a text description. Click-on-the-picture questions can also be answered with the keyboard (arrow keys and Enter).
  • mInstructor lessons come from an outside service that we do not control.
  • PDF documents (exam programme, problems) are not tagged for screen readers.
  • The video geo1.mp4 has no captions or transcript.
  • Some older games and external sites (kidzone, IXL, Quizizz) have not been checked.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 17 October 2026 by self-assessment: an automated check (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 AA) and manual testing with a keyboard and read-aloud.
